Need to Manage Multiple WhatsApp accounts? Use List Webdock Layout.

Wavebox excels in allowing you to manage multiple accounts of the same type. Using Spaces, you can organize and isolate accounts so they all stay correctly signed-in. This enables you to get real-time notifications and unread badges for every account without having to login and out.

🍪 So how does it work? Each account of the same type must be in a different Space to keep cookies contained. You can imagine spaces to be like Chrome Profiles, but instead of using them one at a time in Chrome, you can use Wavebox Spaces simultaneously, side-by-side in the same window.

Getting Started with Spaces

When you install Wavebox for the first time, you'll probably set up three separate spaces, e.g., work, home, and side hustle. So, you can place the same app, such as WhatsApp in each Space and stay correctly signed-in.

Benefits of using Wavebox Spaces for multi-accounts:

  • Real-time updates for all your apps.
  • Real-time notifications for all accounts.
  • Real-time badges for all accounts.
  • No more signing in and out of accounts.

1) Switch to List Layout for the Webdock

  • Click on the Settings cog at the bottom left.
  • Select 'Webdock Layout' and choose 'List'.

2) Add the first WhatsApp account in a new Group

  • Click + in the webdock.
  • Give the group a name, and then 'Add an App'
  • Search for WhatsApp and add it from the store.
  • In the 'Add App' pop-up, click on 'Create a New Space'
  • Give the Space a name e.g. Client 1 and click on 'Next'.
  • The new group will appear in the webdock.

2) Add the second WhatsApp account in a new Group

  • Repeat (1) to create a group and add WhatsApp from the store.
  • In the 'Add App' pop-up, click on 'Create a New Space'
  • Give the Space a name e.g. Client 2 and click on 'Next'.
  • The new group will appear in the webdock.

That's it! You now have two completely isolated WhatsApp accounts, side-by-side. Once you are signed-in, you can enjoy real-time notifications and badges for each.

👍 Tip: You can use this method to add multiple instances of other apps, such as Gmail, Outlook, Slack, Monday, Azure, etc. And once you have a Space setup for a client, you can use that space to stay correctly signed in to other apps too.
