What are rooms and how do I start or join a group chat or call?

Click on any room under 'Rooms' to start a group connection.
In the message field, @name the people you want to invite to the room.
Click on the phone or video icon to start a connection.
A desktop notification will be sent to the invitees, and the room name will be shown in bold on their Connect panel. There will also be a blue phone or video icon indicting that there is a call in progress, and maybe an unread badge.
If you receive a desktop notification, check your Connect panel for any unread badges, or room names in bold, and click on the room name to join. In the room you will see a black rectangle at the top of the screen displaying a green 'Join Call' button. Click on it to accept the call. You can choose to join by voice or video.
You can switch from audio to video at any time during a call using the blue icons at the top of the panel.
Anyone can start a screen share during the call by clicking on the blue monitor icon in the panel.
To end an audio or video call, click on the red hangup icon.
Notes: Connect group connections are intended for 1-on-1 and small group meetings, with a maximum of 10 members (although testing for this is ongoing).
