From templates to consolidated billing, we are working hard to make onboarding as easy as possible for everyone on your team. Here's a simple step-by-step guide on quickly rolling out Wavebox across your organization.

  1. Create a Connect Team & Template
  2. Edit the Shared Workspace
  3. Send Invites
  4. Onboard Team Members

Step 1: Create a Connect Team & Template

  • Go to Settings > Teams
  • Enter a team name in the text field, then click on 'Create'
  • 💥 No need to send invites just yet.

Create a Template from your Profile

  • To use your Profile as the template, click on the Profile icon top-right, and then click on the share icon to launch the Template Wizard and follow the steps.
  • If you decide to include passwords in your template, you will need to create a master password that should be shared separately. Make a note of the master password. (Team members will need the master password to unlock the template during installation. If they don't have the master password, they can still install the template, but any passwords will need to be shared manually later on.)
  • 💥 No need to send invites from the Template Wizard.
  • 🔗 Copy the template share code to your clipboard.

Create a Template from a new Profile

  • To create a new Profile for the template, click on the Profile icon top-right, and then select 'Add.'
  • From the Profile pop-up modal, click on 'New Setup: Next'
  • Add the groups, apps, and tabs your team needs to work.
  • (Optional) Sign-in to apps where needed, and save any passwords you want to share in the template.
  • When finished, click on the Profile icon top-right, and then click on the share icon to launch the Template Wizard and follow the steps.
  • 💥 No need to send invites from the Template Wizard just yet.
  • Copy the template share code to your clipboard.

Create a Template from a Group

  • Right-click on the Group in the webdock and select 'Share this Group' to launch the Template Wizard and follow the steps.
  • The group will already be selected in the list, and you can add more groups if needed.
  • 💥 No need to send invites from the Template Wizard just yet.
  • 🔗 Copy the template share code to your clipboard.

Template Best Practice: Naming

Before creating your template, go to Settings > Apps & Groups and check that you are happy with the naming of groups and apps e.g., replace any personal names with generic ones. Then do the same for Settings > Cookie Containers.

Tip: If you are sharing your profile, consider sharing it with yourself in a new profile, and then creating a template from that profile instead.
