An app icon or tab will turn grey or opaque when it's sleeping. The next time you wake it up—by clicking on it—it reloads and returns to full solid color.

You can adjust how sleeping apps/tabs look in Settings:

  • Hover over the Settings Cog (bottom-left) and click on Settings.
  • Make sure the General tab is select
  • Look for Settings Mode > Advanced and toggle ON.
  • Click on Groups & Apps in the settings sidebar
  • Look for show sleeping apps/tabs in gray and toggle ON
  • Click on the color palette icon to adjust the transparency and color.
