Get off to the best start by reading this article. It will show you how to use Groups, Apps, Tabs and Workspaces to build fast and efficient workflows in Wavebox.
Groups
Groups are permanent spaces in the webdock (sidebar) for you to bring apps and tabs together to create workflows.
Apps
Apps are essentially tabs that have been 'boosted' to gain extra features such as unread badges & notifications.
Tabs
In Wavebox, tabs are always used in context so they stay tidy, organized, and can be easily found using search.

Take the Masterclass!
Make the most of your first 10 minutes in Wavebox by taking the in-app masterclass. After installing, the masterclass panel will appear on the right-hand side of the desktop, to guide you through Wavebox's main features.
1. Create a group in the webdock.
Click on the + icon in the webdock (sidebar) to add a new group. You can then either start browsing with tabs, or add your first app. Clicking on 'Start with an App' brings up the App Directory so you can find the app you want. Or, click on the 'Add any Website' to paste in any URL. You can then add more apps to this group by clicking on the + icon in the top toolbar.

It's time to start using tabs in the right way! Wavebox helps you stay focused by having tabs in the main window under each group and/or app. To add your first tab to an app, just right-click on the app icon and select 'Add new tab'. To add another tab, click on the gray '+' icon in the top toolbar (next to an existing tab). There are different ways to display the tabs in the tabstrip. Right-click on the tabstrip and then 'tabs' to explore the various options. If you have no tabs open in the group or app, the tabstrip will be hidden.

3. Add Chrome Extensions.
You can add any extension to Wavebox in similar way to other browsers. Firstly open a new tab, and head over to the Chrome Web Store then use search to find your extension. Click on the blue 'Add to Wavebox' button.
Tutorial YouTube4. Sign-in to Multiple Accounts.
Most browsers have one cookie container for everything. In Wavebox we call this the default cookie container and most of your apps will belong to it. However, if you need to stay signed-in to multiple accounts of the same type e.g. Gmail or Slack, then you'll need to add more cookie containers to keep them isolated from each other. Wavebox will automatically suggest this when you add the 2nd account of an app already in Wavebox.

5. Tweak Badges & Notifications.
Wavebox supercharges your app notifications and displays real-time unread badges, just like the ones you see on your smartphone. Badges and notifications are shown by default, but you can tweak them to suit your way of working. Right-click on a group or app icon and go to 'Settings' then 'Behaviour' or 'Badges & Notifications' to see the options.

6. Explore the Tooltip menu.
Hover over any app to bring up the powerful and feature-rich tooltip menu. This menu is crammed with great features, including Fast Actions (e.g. create a new Word doc), a list of recently visited pages, and saved pages. To save a page, simply click on the bookmark icon next to any page under History to save it. You can edit the name of your saved pages by clicking on the pencil icon and customize where each page opens e.g. in a new tab, in a new window etc.
7. Try Brainbox.
We've integrated ChatGPT into the Wavebox UI so it's always available alongside your favorite apps and websites, to answer questions, help write email replies, create tweets, generate blog post summaries, and lots more. Brainbox is unique because it exists in the browser meta-layer—rather than in a single tab or Chrome extension.

Workspaces provide a central place to organize the apps/websites/pages you visit frequently. Workspaces are made up of widgets, and there is a library of widgets for you to choose from. You can also pin a workspace to a group, and select a workspace to show in all new tabs. You can keep them private or share them with a Connect team.

9. Customize Link Opening Rules.
Build time-saving and seamless workflows. If you click on a Trello link in Gmail, the link will open in the correct place in the Tello app. That's the Link Engine. For the times when you want them to open somewhere else, such as in a tab or new window, you can customize where links open in Settings > General > Link Opening.

Wavebox supports chat, calls, video meetings, and screen-share straight from the browser - a service called Connect. Go to Settings > My Wavebox > Add People to buy seats and create a team. Add a ready-made template to your team invites so Wavebox is already setup when they install.

11. Try Multiple Profiles.
Use Profiles to setup multiple Waveboxes on your computer. Each Profile has a main window with sidebar and secondary windows, and they are completely independent with their own theme, cookie containers, settings, passwords, extensions, notifications, groups, apps, etc. Use them to isolate work and home, or to keep a client's Wavebox separate from your own.
